DALLAS – Klemchuk LLP, a leading intellectual property (IP), litigation, and business law firm, announces Managing Principal Kirby Drake presented at the 2018 Advanced Patent Litigation course on July 12-13 at the United States Patent and Trademark Office Rocky Mountain Regional Office in Denver, CO. Organized by TexasBarCLE and co-sponsored by the Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, the course featured a keynote address by speaker Andrei Iancu, director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property.

Drake delivered a .5 hour ethics presentation entitled “10 Years After Qualcomm v. Broadcom: Ethics in e-Discovery - Where We Are and Where We Are Going.”

Drake served as Chair Elect of the IP Law Section during 2017-2018, and is currently the Chair for 2018-2019.

Drake is experienced in many areas of intellectual property law and focuses primarily on intellectual property litigation and patent prosecution, addressing a broad range of technologies. Drake earned a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science degree cum laude, in chemistry from Duke University.
