Managing Principal Kirby Drake Leads SBOT Women and the Law, IP Sections
DALLAS – Klemchuk LLP, a leading intellectual property (IP), litigation, and business law firm, announces Managing Principal Kirby Drake will serve as Chair of the State Bar of Texas Women and the Law Section, for 2017-2018. She has previously served as Chair Elect and on the Section Council. The Women and the Law Section seeks to address issues affecting female attorneys and encourage full participation through mentoring programs and nationwide telephone CLEs, among other activities.
Drake will also serve as Chair Elect of the State Bar of Texas Intellectual Property Section, which serves thousands of members each year through numerous committees dedicated to IP law and the legal practice. She has previously held the positions of Vice President and Secretary, as well as Program Director of the 2017 Advanced IP CLE Course in Austin.

Drake is experienced in many areas of intellectual property law and focuses primarily on intellectual property litigation and patent prosecution, addressing a broad range of technologies. Drake earned a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science degree cum laude, in chemistry from Duke University.
