Drake and Johnson Volunteer at DFW Pro Bono Workshop
DALLAS – Klemchuk LLP, a leading intellectual property (IP), litigation, and business law firm, announces Managing Principal Kirby Drake and Associate Tiffany Johnson volunteered at the IP Pro Bono Workshop for North Texas Inventors and Entrepreneurs on September 30, 2017.
The workshop provided valuable IP information to innovators in the Dallas area, with a special focus on patents and trademarks. Drake presented an overview on patents and led a group session focused on Software IP. Johnson led the Mechanical/Electrical Inventions session. Afterwards, the attorneys met with the attendees for one-on-one consultations.
The event was held at Texas A&M Law School, co-organized by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the State Bar of Texas Intellectual Property Section. Drake currently serves as Chair Elect of the IP Section.
Drake is experienced in many areas of intellectual property law and focuses primarily on intellectual property litigation and patent prosecution, addressing a broad range of technologies. Drake earned a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science degree cum laude, in chemistry from Duke University.
Johnson focuses primarily on patent prosecution and strategic patent portfolio management. Johnson earned her J.D. cum laude from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University where she served as Business Editor of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review. She earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
