Carry The Load Expands 2019 National Relay with Addition of Midwest Route
Carry The Load is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating our nation’s heroes. Every year, Carry The Load holds a National Relay across the country. It is an 11.5k mile journey where people walk, run, and cycle across the country bringing awareness to the real meaning of Memorial Day, spreading love and stories in celebration of the men and women who give their lives for our country. In 2019, the National Relay will expand from covering 26 states to 40.
The addition of a Midwest route to the National Relay is a major accomplishment and huge expansion of the program and the cause. Via the “Memorial May” awareness campaign, Carry The Load offers the public different ways to get involved through the National Relay, City Rallies, and the Dallas Memorial March.
The funds raised by Carry The Load not only helped support awareness to programs like the Memorial Day events, but also allow Carry The Load to strengthen its Continuum of Care programs, as well as local and national non-profit partners. Carry The Load expanded its reach by creating an educational program, Carry The F.L.A.G., which provides Elementary, Middle and High school students the opportunity to learn about, honor, and respect our flag, as well as to learn how our country’s Veterans have sacrificed for this sacred symbol.
