Associate Tiffany Johnson Shares Fashion Law Basics at Techstars Startup Week Dallas 2018
DALLAS – Klemchuk LLP, a leading intellectual property (IP), litigation, and business law firm, announces Associate Tiffany Johnson will share IP and fashion insights for entrepreneurs in the session “Fashion and the Law: Legal Basics for Your Fashion Business” at the Techstars Startup Week Dallas 2018. Johnson will delve into the common intellectual property oversights creative and fashion entrepreneurs often commit in their practice, and will share some protection basics in the billion-dollar industry. The session will cover copyright and trademark issues, contracts, debt disputes, and more.
Johnson is co-founder of the Art, Design & Fashion Interest Group with the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, and has presented on the topic of fashion law in advanced legal events. Recently, she was published in the Dallas Bar Association’s Headnotes for her article “Fashion Law: Taking the IP Runway by Storm.”
Johnson focuses primarily on patent prosecution and strategic patent portfolio management. Johnson earned her J.D. cum laude from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University where she served as Business Editor of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review. She earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
