Associate Tiffany A. Johnson Serves as President of NSBE DFW Professionals Community Service Project
Klemchuk LLP announces Tiffany A. Johnson, Associate, volunteers time as President (2016-2017) of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) Professional Chapter. Johnson has been a member of the organization since she was in middle school and credits NSBE for the inspiration to major and graduate in engineering.
NSBE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the academic and professional success of minority engineering students and professionals. The charity presents its 2nd Annual "A Walk for Education" (AWFE) on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center in Dallas, TX from 9:30 am - 2 pm, and volunteers can still register at nsbedfw.org/awfe.html.
Free food, interactive STEM activities, a bounce house, and raffle prizes will be provided. Participants, supporters, and vendors include the Dallas Parks & Recreation, Dallas Police Department, Dallas Fire Department, Dallas Independent School District, Illuminate STEM, UT Southwestern, Parkland, We Run Things, Cane’s, Wal-Mart, Tiff’s Treats, Hiatus Spa & Retreat, and several others.
The goal of AWFE is to increase awareness of the opportunities available through education particularly in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). AWFE is a monumental program in which NSBE members, local businesses, community organizations, political officials, and representatives of corporate sponsors gather in an economically disadvantaged community to promote education, community awareness, and health and fitness. AWFE provides a great opportunity for local organizations, companies, and sponsors to gain visibility and demonstrate a strong commitment to the progress and welfare of the community.
At Klemchuk LLP, Johnson focuses primarily on patent prosecution and strategic patent portfolio management. Johnson earned her J.D. cum laude from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University where she served as Business Editor of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review. She earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
