Thomson Reuters Recognizes Three Klemchuk Kubasta Attorneys

Klemchuk, Kubasta and Bates Selected to the Texas Super Lawyers List for 2012

Klemchuk Kubasta LLP (KK LLP), a leading full-service provider of intellectual property (IP) legal services, announces Darin M. Klemchuk, Kelly J. Kubasta and Shannon W. Bates were selected to the Texas Super Lawyers List in 2012, as published by Thomson Reuters. Joining their colleague and partner James E. Davis, a four-time recipient of the Super Lawyers designation, senior partners Darin Klemchuk and Kelly Kubasta were recognized for their work in IP litigation, and executive partner Shannon Bates was named for her intellectual property practice.

In addition to the Super Lawyers ranking, several of the firm’s attorneys have been named to the Texas list of “Rising Stars Under 40”, published by Thomson Reuters, over the years. Since 2004, Kirby Drake has been named to the Rising Star list six times, Darin Klemchuk has been selected four times, Kelly Kubasta has been honored twice, and Austin Champion was added for the first time in 2012.

To receive the annual designation, each year Super Lawyers uses a rigorous, multiphase process that includes independent research, peer nominations and evaluations to rank attorneys in more than 70 practice areas. To be included in the ranking, each candidate must successfully pass 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Once an independent evaluation has been completed, less than 2.5 percent of the attorneys being screened are ultimately recognized as a member of the Super Lawyers list.

“It is an honor to have our work recognized by both Super Lawyers and our peers,” said Klemchuk. “Over the years, our attorneys have been recognized numerous times for their achievement. To date, four Klemchuk Kubasta attorneys have been named Super Lawyers a total of nine times since 2003. This level of dedication and determination further demonstrates the commitment of Klemchuk Kubasta attorneys to give clients the highest level of personal service while striving to provide the best intellectual property counsel in North Texas.”

Commenting on the objectives of the selection process, Heather Walker, Senior Director of Super Lawyers noted, “Our goal is to create a credible and comprehensive list of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for lawyers and consumers in search of legal counsel.”
