Announcement of Attorney Shannon W. Bates to Klemchuk Kubasta LLP
The intellectual property law firm of Klemchuk Kubasta LLP is pleased to announce that Shannon W. Bates has joined the firm as a Partner. She will supervise the firm’s patent and trademark prosecution practice. Of the recent addition, founding partner Darin Klemchuk states, “Shannon is well respected by both the legal and scientific communities, and we are excited to welcome her to Klemchuk Kubasta.”
Shannon assists clients in a variety of industries to identify, develop, protect, enforce, and manage their intellectual property portfolios. She is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has extensive experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent, trademark and copyright applications. Shannon also has substantial experience representing parties in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and in domain name proceedings.

Shannon is active in several professional organizations, and she currently serves as the Chair of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with high honors from The Georgia Institute of Technology, and she is a cum laude graduate of The University of Houston Law Center. Immediately prior to joining the Firm, Shannon worked with the intellectual property law firm of Conley Rose, P.C. in Plano, Texas.
