Spicy Caesar Salad
This recipe is inspired by a boutique Italian restaurant in Dallas, which serves my favorite Caesar salad. The combination of the red peppers and garlic in the Caesar dressing on crisp romaine lettuce is wonderful. Adding Everything Bagel seasoning takes the salad to new levels.
Ingredients:
8-10 whole Romaine lettuce leaves, rinsed and patted dry with paper towel
Favorite Caesar salad dressing mix
Red pepper chili flakes
Grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, place the lettuce leaves and salad dressing. Toss until coated evenly. For the salad dressing, I prefer a stronger garlic flavor to balance the red pepper flakes.
Arrange the lettuce leaves in 2-3 leaf layers then sprinkle each layer with red pepper chili flakes.
Once all of the leaves are arranged on the cutting board or plate, sprinkle the top of the dish with grated parmesan.
Optionally, sprinkle the Everything Bagel seasoning on top of the cheese.
