Sauteed Mushrooms with Garlic and Green Onion
How to Make Sautéed Mushrooms with Garlic and Green Onion
Pan sautéed mushrooms are a great side dish to pair with steak and other meat entrees. The mushrooms are easy to make and can cook while you are preparing your main dish. They can also sit in the pan and be easily warmed up when it is time to serve the whole meal. The additional of garlic and green onions enhances the flavor.
Ingredients:
1 Cup of white or button mushrooms
Dash of fresh cracked pepper
Dash of Lawry’s Garlic Salt or sea salt plus garlic powder or minced garlic
1/4 Cup of diced green onions
Pat of butter
Directions:
Put butter in a pan at medium heat. Add mushrooms, which can be either cut into quarters or sliced.
Add pepper and garlic salt. Adding salt at the beginning of the cook will help draw the water out of the mushrooms speeding up the cook.
After 5-10 minutes, add the green onions.
The dish will be done once the mushrooms soften to taste.
