Brussel Sprouts with Bacon

Who doesn’t think bacon makes everything taste better? Well, that’s certainly the case with this Brussel sprouts with bacon recipe. This dish pairs well with a variety of meats, particularly during the cold months. While it tastes great — and for some making Brussel sprouts bearable — the process tends to make your house smell like bacon all night.

Ingredients:

  • 6 slices of bacon (why stop at 6?)

  • 1 1/2 pounds of Brussel sprouts

  • 2 Tbsp of olive oil or avocado oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. While preheating the oven to 400 degrees, pan fry the bacon until somewhat crispy. Place on a paper towel to drain and cool. Chop the bacon into desired pieces. Set aside.

  2. Clean and slice the brussels sprouts in half, lengthwise.

  3. Arrange the sprouts in a bowl, spray with oil, and toss. Salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Place the Brussel sprouts on a rack in a baking pan. Cook for approximately 20-30 minutes until done.

  5. Toss the bacon and Brussel sprouts together and serve.
