Klemchuk Kubasta LLP Launches New Anti-Counterfeiting Enforcement Practice Group
Klemchuk Kubasta LLP expands services
Klemchuk Kubasta LLP (KK LLP), a leading full-service intellectual property (IP) law firm, has started an Anti-Counterfeiting enforcement practice team within the firm.
Leading the team is Managing Partner, Darin Klemchuk. The anti-counterfeiting team also includes partner Jim Davis, associate Austin Champion and associate Peggy Keene. “Counterfeiting of goods are a serious issue for technology and luxury brand companies today,” said Klemchuk. “Counterfeit goods cause billions of dollars of losses each year and can severely damage a company’s reputation and good will. Our enforcement team is dedicated to providing clients with protection for their brands and trademarks.
The anti-counterfeiting enforcement group will use their custom program to systematically reduce counterfeits and infringements. Counterfeiting can take on many forms including software piracy, trademark counterfeiting and copyright counterfeiting, and as technology advances, detecting those infringements gets more difficult. “Our program allows us to efficiently search, monitor, and enforce counterfeit infringements,” said Klemchuk. “The system is designed to identify these issues and deliver the results the client needs while maintaining reasonable legal costs.”
