DALLAS – Klemchuk LLP, a leading intellectual property (IP), litigation, and business law firm, announces Managing Principal Kirby Drake will present a free telephone CLE, on September 27, 2018, at noon on Social Media and Discovery.  This CLE is sponsored by the Women and the Law (WAL) Section of the State Bar of Texas and provides 1 hour of CLE credit, including 0.5 hours of ethics credit.

During the CLE, Ms. Drake will provide an overview of various social media platforms, the information stored or maintained in these platforms, the discoverability of social media materials in litigation, and some of the challenges in social media discovery, including ethical concerns that have been addressed by the courts or are likely to be addressed by the courts in the future.

Kirby Drake is the Immediate Past Chair of the Women and the Law Section, and serves as the 2018-2019 Chair for the Intellectual Property Section of the State Bar of Texas. She is experienced in many areas of intellectual property law and focuses primarily on intellectual property litigation and patent prosecution, addressing a broad range of technologies. Ms. Drake earned a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science degree cum laude, in chemistry from Duke University.
