Baconation Selected As 2018 State Fair of Texas Big Tex Choice Awards Finalist

DALLAS – Klemchuk LLP, a leading intellectual property (IP), litigation, and business law firm, announces its client, the Ed Campbell Concession Company’s Baconation, returned to the 2018 State Fair of Texas and was a Big Tex Choice Awards Finalist with their newest creation "Sweet Bakin' Bacon". Baconation grew from the desire to make fun bacon-centric treats the front-and-center of the company’s offering at the State Fair back in 2015. The 2018 "Sweet Bakin' Bacon" is a cream-filled sponge cake wrapped in savory bacon and then dipped in a funnel cake batter. The treat is deep fried until golden brown and dusted with powdered sugar to finish.

"Sweet Bakin' Bacon" was one of ten finalists in the Big Tex Choice Awards, chosen from a wide array of entries in the State Fair of Texas' sweet and savory category.

There were also many returning items being served by Baconation within the State Fair of Texas, including handmade sweet bacon delights “Milk Chocolate and Chocolate Pecan Bacon on a Stick”.  Also back due to popular demand were the “BLT Nacho Basket” and “Deep Fried Bacon Wrapped Hot Dog on a Bun topped with Fried Potato Puffs, Chili & Cheese and Jalapeno Ranch”.  Another new item introduced by Baconation this year was "Frozen Hot Chocolate", earning Big Tex Choice Awards Semi-Finalist, and was served at the Old Mill Inn's great patio right across from Big Tex.

We can't wait to see what Baconation creates for next year's State Fair of Texas!
